Oh… you want more explanation. Okay.

Desert Bus for Hope is an annual charity marathon from the Canadian comics Loading Ready Run, and their assorted friends and family members. During the run, they play the unreleased Sega CD game Desert Bus, a mini game within Pen and Teller’s Smoke and Mirrors and perform impromptu singalongs, improv skits and generally make fools of themselves in front of the camera.

They do this because the game itself is possibly the most boring game ever made. You have to drive a bus from Tuscon, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada in real time. At 45MPH. A trip that takes 8 hours, along a straight road. The bus constantly lists to the right, and so must be corrected or you crash off the side of the road.

At the end of the 8 hours, you get a point… and get to go back the other way.

However, it is a charity marathon for the Child’s Play charity which works to get children’s toys and video games into hospitals for children to play with whilst they are in for treatment. And the more money they raise, the longer the marathon lasts. Please, go and take a look!
